AI tools and automation platforms. * Proven solution design and documentation ability, with evidence you can architect and write, not just build. * Time in both startups and corporates, so you bring pace and structure in the same person. * Client facing credibility: you have sat with clients, understood their world and carried technical decisions with them, and even a year or two client side counts. * A self-starting operating style: you work through blockers, unblock yourself, and escalate only the things that genuinely need a founder. It helps if you have: * Headless CMS experience (Storyblok especially), Salesforce ecosystem exposure, or ecommerce and loyalty builds behind you. * Real LLM and agentic AI build experience that goes beyond prompting. * App store release pipelines (TestFlight, App Store Connect), Stripe, and Sentry in your recent history. * Depth in Make.com, Zapier or similar automation platforms. ## Description We are looking for a properly T-shaped senior or lead developer: someone who can design and ship a website, a mobile app, an automation pipeline or a piece of cloud infrastructure with equal confidence, and who enjoys moving between all four in the same week. AWS is our core platform, and backend experience on GCP matters too. This is not a heads down coding role. You will design solutions, write them down properly, build them, deploy them, and support the people around you. You will work directly with both founders as the most senior hands on technologist in the business, and the role is deliberately built with headroom: we want someone hungry to stretch into technical leadership, with a genuine path to Director level. What you will build * A multi market digital platform for a global food and beverage brand, rolling out a headless CMS, ecommerce and loyalty across roughly thirty markets. * Mobile apps that matter, from a voice led motion tracking sports product to apps in health and social care, built in Flutter and React Native and shipped through the app stores. * AI that actually works: readiness audits, agentic automations and thin, well aimed AI tools for charities, foundations and enterprise clients, never hype for its own sake. * Portals and integrations for charities moving millions of pounds in grants to the people who need them most. * Our own operating platform, infrastructure and tools. A connected system of ClickUp, Make.com and AI agents, AWS, github and more. What you will own * End to end technical delivery on your workstreams, covering solution design, architecture, build, deployment, documentation and handover, done properly every time. * The written thinking behind the build: solution designs and tech specs that a client can sign off and a teammate can pick up cold, because if it only lives in your head it is not done. * Our AWS estate (Lightsail, EC2, IAM Identity Centre, CloudWatch) connected to our microsoft tools, and our infrastructure standards, with GCPwherever the work calls for it. * Your own board hygiene: you write your tickets, estimate them honestly, and lead by example so the standard holds for everyone. * Support for the rest of the team through code review, pairing, mentoring and unblocking, so the whole studio ships faster because you are in it. * Pace with honesty: you escalate early, communicate clearly and summarise well, because in a team this size silence is the only unforgivable failure. ## Related Videos - [Navigating Growth, Scaling Challenges, and Office Expansions with David Singleton, CTO at Stripe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100362-navigating-growth-scaling-challenges-and-office-expansions-with-david-singleton-cto-at-stripe) - [Coffee with Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/354-coffee-with-developers) - [A Founder's Journey : From Startup Chaos to Purposeful Growth](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1926-a-founder-s-journey-from-startup-chaos-to-purposeful-growth) - [From Doubt to Confidence: How Sentry Uses Verdaccio to Bulletproof SDK Releases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/739-from-doubt-to-confidence-how-sentry-uses-verdaccio-to-bulletproof-sdk-releases) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE – AI, Freelancing, Keeping Up with Tech and More](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1786-wearedevelopers-live-ai-freelancing-keeping-up-with-tech-and-more) - [Debugging in the Dark](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1658-debugging-in-the-dark) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies)
