Your first project will be a small Python web application and an accompanying Databricks data pipeline, but the role deliberately isn't confined to that. Over time you'll move between backend services, integrations, automation, and front-end work as our priorities shift. If you enjoy being the person who can pick up an unfamiliar technology and become productive quickly, this role is built for you., 7-10 years building and shipping software in professional settings. Demonstrated breadth. Show you've worked across multiple languages, stacks, or problem domains, and can point to a time you learned a new technology on the job and delivered with it. Depth in at least one area, preferably one of our technologies. We're looking for evidence you can go deep when needed. Strong fundamentals that transfer across languages: solution and software design, service integration, data modeling, testing, and version control. A pragmatic approach where you are comfortable owning the problem. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to carry work from idea to production. Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. Deep experience in some and none in others is expected and completely fine; what matters is that you can demonstrate that you can learn what you don't yet know. Deliver the initial project: a Python-based web solution and a Databricks pipeline. Move fluidly between projects and technologies as needs evolve (backend services, CI/CD and automation, platform integrations, and user-facing interfaces) Make pragmatic technical decisions, weighing trade-offs around effort, maintainability, and business value, and communicate your rationale. Work with product owners / stakeholders / fellow engineers to turn ambiguous requirements into working software.
