The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements, Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). An active security clearance is highly desirable. ## Description The Model Based Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting A-Department of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division on the Tomahawk Tactical Weapon Control System (TTWCS). They will play a supporting role in achieving the organizations goals by working on an existing govt-contractor team (at least 5 people, likely more) who are building and updating system models for TTWCS. This position will directly impact development, design, and support for not only TTWCS but future Tomahawk Weapon System development system of systems., Contributes to the design, development, and implementation of complex systems using advanced modeling techniques. Translate customer requirements into actionable digital models. Create and manage system models using MBSE tools to represent requirements, architecture, behavior, and verification processes. Analyze and decompose system requirements into functional and performance specifications within a model-based framework. Conduct model verification activities using real-world data to ensure system performance aligns with requirements. Work with senior members of engineering teams to address technical challenges.
