## About the Role

Job Description: Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop eco-system-based applications to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Required Skills: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field * Hands on experience with Unix, Teradata and other relational databases. Experience with @Scale a plus. * 5+ years of experience in computer programming, software development or related * Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role * Strong programming experience in Scala, Python & Cloud * Good programming experience in Java and Restful Webservices * Experience working with cloud solutions preferably Azure or GCP * 3+ years of solid Java and REST experience * 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions big data solution in Hadoop
using Hive, Spark, HBase * Great numerical and analytical skills * Hands-on experience with SQL database design
