The Data Scientist will be an educator and collaborator, training the team on design of experiments and data analysis in addition to reviewing protocols (from statistical rigor standpoint), data and reports to improve the statistical interpretation of results and conclusions drawn from the testing. What you'll be doing: * Supporting R&D projects and products through input on designs of laboratory testing and/or the analyses of existing data. * Devising new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles, e.g., DMAIC, experimental DOE, and Hypothesis testing. * Assure the use of appropriate statistical rigor in testing and data analyses. * Designing experiments and assisting others with design of experiments, including: + Determining variables assessed versus those remaining fixed + Bounding the design space + Identifying controls for the experiment + Determining if R&R is needed, and if so, how the assessment is performed * Aiding with statistical assessments + Sample size determination + Null hypothesis + Type 1 and Type 2 errors * Evaluating the data + Determining variability of the data + Where necessary determining normalcy, limit of detection, limit of quantification and/or assessing difference * Performing multivariant analyses to assess the sensitivity of the system and impact of the different variables. And using this information to optimize the system or design further testing. * Educating the Science team on how to perform these activities for themselves. * Providing periodic updates to R&D Sciences management., Vantive is committed to supporting the need for flexibility in the workplace.
