## About the Role

* 8+ years of end-to-end corporate payroll and equity transaction experience.
 * Advanced, hands-on technical expertise with Workday Payroll (strictly required).
 * Strong mastery of payroll accounting, SOX controls, and general ledger reconciliation.
 * High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas).
 * Experience with Australia payroll and superannuation is highly preferred.
 * Note: Due to critical system cycles, no extended time off can be approved through March 2027., * How many years of experience do you have processing end-to-end payroll specifically utilizing Workday Payroll?
 * Have you managed end-to-end payroll for a workforce of 1,000 or more employees?
 * Do you have hands-on experience handling payroll accounting, including SOX controls and general ledger reconciliations?
 * This role is hybrid in San Jose (3 days in-office) until transitioning fully remote after September. Are you able to reliably commute to San Jose for this initial period?

## Description

We are seeking a tech-forward Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end multi-state and international payroll operations for 1,500+ employees. You will own payroll accuracy, compliance, and automation, serving as our subject matter expert on payroll accounting and regulatory requirements.Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in-office (Mon, Tue, Thu) through September, then transitions to 100% Full Remote.Key Responsibilities

 * Process end-to-end multi-state payroll and complex equity transactions utilizing Workday Payroll.
 * Lead payroll accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
 * Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local taxes, SOX controls, and FLSA standards.
 * Manage year-end close and W-2/W-2c processing via Workday and ADP SmartCompliance.
 * Oversee global payroll elements, specifically Australia payroll and superannuation compliance.
 * Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to automate workflows and data validation.
