The IT Network Engineer designs, maintains, and ensures our network is secure and reliable by adhering to organizational values and industry standards and works closely within the IT Systems Administration team. Areas of Responsibility: Networking Engineering and Provisioning: * Engage with Network vendors, review invoices & contracts, recommend system improvements and processes, in-line with established business goals * Design and install new / rebuild existing network equipment and configure switches, routers, wireless, WebEx calling, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements * Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures * Contribute to and maintain network standards * Research innovative, and where possible automated approaches for networking tasks * Identify processes that leverage our resources and provides economies of scale * Management of existing networking devices such as switches, routers, circuits, wireless etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements * Support various enterprise technologies (Microsoft Entra, AWS Cloud infrastructure, WebEx) Operations and Support: * Perform daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all networking hardware, firewall, circuit availability as it relates to bandwidth and uptime * Provide technical leadership and expertise in escalations and incident response * Provide Tier II/III/other support per request from various constituencies as needed. Investigate and troubleshoot issues * Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
