## About the Role

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
 * CPA or CMA preferred
 * 7+ years of cost accounting - Standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting (Required)
 * SAP (S/4HANA) experience is required - MUST have implementation experience (Required)
 * Advanced Excel preferred
 * Manufacturing industry preferred
 * Must be able to commute daily on-site to Valdosta, GA (Monday-Friday) - Open to candidates interested in relocation

## Description

The Sr. Cost Accountant oversees end?to?end cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost control for a high?volume glass production facility. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and finance leadership to ensure accurate costing, strong inventory controls, and actionable insights that improve efficiency and margins., * Product Costing & Standards

 * Maintain and update standard costs for materials and production processes within SAP S4 Hana
 * Review BOMs and routings for accuracy
 * Support new product costing and margin analysis
 * Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
 * Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
 * Lead cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
 * Cost Variance Analysis
 * Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
 * Deliver insights to operations to improve performance
 * Month-End Close
 * Prepare inventory journal entries and reconciliations
 * Support overall close activities
 * Maintain cost structures and master data within SAP S4 Hana
 * Ensure system accuracy and data integrity
