You know your way in the cloud; keep your knowledge up to date by watching webinars and visiting conferences. You don't mind getting your hands dirty but have an analytical mindset that allows you to clearly define the root of a problem. And, then by mapping this problem to a new or existing cloud data platform, you come up with one or more approaches. All while keeping in mind that this change needs to be maintained for the foreseeable future, and hence you balance complexity. The tools you use are Word, PowerPoint, and an IDE. Making sure that the overall solution is well documented, easily explainable to the board, but also clearly defined into code building blocks., * You have 3 years of experience in data or 3 years of experience in architecture and want to switch to this domain. * You are comfortable in the boardroom and know how to present your solution in an understandable way to non-technical people. * You like to contribute to/lead the Xebia Data Architecture proposition. ## Related Videos - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Developing the Rich Text Editor for DeepL.com](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1172-developing-the-rich-text-editor-for-deepl-com) - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [From Data Mesh to AI Mesh: Integrating Distributed Intelligence on Decentralized Data Architectures](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1987-from-data-mesh-to-ai-mesh-integrating-distributed-intelligence-on-decentralized-data-architectures) - [We (don't) need a software architect!?!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/663-we-don-t-need-a-software-architect) - [Analytics in the Age of Agentic AI: A tour of ClickHouse and Langfuse](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100240-analytics-in-the-age-of-agentic-ai-a-tour-of-clickhouse-and-langfuse) ## Related Articles - [Making Data Warehouses Fast: A Developer’s Story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/107-making-data-warehouses-fast-a-developer-s-story) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market) - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [Why Event-Driven Architecture Isn’t About Speed (and When You Actually Need It)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/745-why-event-driven-architecture-isn-t-about-speed-and-when-you-actually-need-it) - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering)
