Bachelor's Degree may substitute for up to 2 years of experience * Experience in a Higher Education environment is preferred. * Experience with the Workday Student Module is highly preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Experience * Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining collaborative relationships * Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines * Proficiency with Workday Student is highly preferred * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (ie: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and G-Suite products * Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities * Attention to details in a fast paced environment * Demonstrated proficiency with content management tools and video recording/editing software (ie: Camtasia, Panoto, Canva etc.) ## Description Hamilton College seeks a Documentation & End User Training Specialist to join our team for an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in leading the college through a multi-year effort to replace the student information system through the implementation of Workday Student. It is in process now and will conclude in the spring of 2028. This position will work closely with the project team and subject matter experts across the college to develop a comprehensive and sustainable Workday training strategy for Workday Student and its associated modules. The training program will support the initial launch of Workday Student and then transition to an ongoing training program supporting new and existing users in their roles. Hamilton College's Library and Information Technology Services division is committed to creating an accessible, supportive environment and an educational experience that recognizes diversity and cultural competence as integral components of academic excellence., * Maintain a documentation style guide, standards, and templates for use across functional areas. * Develop instructional material, coordinate, write, and edit content for Workday training materials and contextual help text and quick tips. (30%) * Lead production of engaging video tutorials/demonstrations for faculty, students and staff. (45%) * Work closely with both IT and the functional users to understand system and training needs for adopted Workday functionality. (10%) * Identify where training gaps exist and create/update materials and documentation to address the needs. * Participate in project planning activities, assessing necessary resources and estimating timelines for documentation development and production.
