## About the Role

* A designer with experience in web/UI design, ideally in a product setting
 * Someone who cares about usability, accessibility, and consistency
 * Willingness to learn the basics of front-end development (JavaScript/Angular) over time
 * Comfortable working within and improving an existing design system
 * A collaborative communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
 * Curiosity and ambition to grow

Required:

 * Strong HTML and SCSS/CSS skills, with an understanding of clean, systemic and well-scoped styling. Confident implementing consistent styling solutions across a large codebase.
 * Pragmatic problem-solving, with the ability to consider both the short-term and long-term needs of a design problem. Able to identify the ideal future solution while working towards it incrementally without slowing product momentum.
 * Strong understanding of semantic HTML, accessibility and clean front-end implementation.
 * Visual thinker, able to communicate ideas clearly through design, discussion and visual explanation.

Desirable:

 * UX-minded, with an understanding of how individual interactions contribute to the overall user journey, and how that experience can be improved in both small and meaningful ways.
 * Collaborative and open to working across teams, communicating ideas clearly and responding well to feedback.
 * Able to self-manage when working independently, using initiative to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
 * Familiarity with Figma and design system thinking.

Nice to have:

 * Familiarity with Angular., * front-end design: 2 years (preferred)
