## About the Role

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
 * 10+ years of experience related to physical sciences, mechanical engineering, sensing and signal processing, acoustics, or related discipline.
 * Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
 * Fluent in at least one commonly used programming language such as Python, Matlab, C, or C++.
 * Experience forming and leading teams of scientists and engineers through full lifecycle of technology development.

Qualifications We Prefer:

 * PhD in physical sciences or engineering.
 * Successful capture of new R&D contracts from US Government customers such as DARPA, ONR, or the US Navy PMOs.
 * Previous experience working within research and development engineering organizations.
