This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership; you'll architect scalable systems, drive engineering best practices, and partner closely with product and design to ship high-quality software. You'll also help shape how the team leverages AI-augmented development workflows, coding assistants, and agentic tooling to accelerate delivery. What You'll Own & Drive Technical Leadership & Direction * Lead the architecture, design, and development of full stack applications spanning front-end (React/TypeScript) and back-end (Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript) systems. * Set technical direction and establish engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural patterns across the team. * Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering growth in both frontend and backend disciplines. * Own technical project planning, breaking down initiatives into milestones, estimating effort, and coordinating delivery with product managers and stakeholders. * Evaluate build vs. buy decisions, new technologies, and third-party services, and make recommendations to leadership. * Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality features. * Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot complex production issues across the stack. Architecture & Systems Engineering * Design and oversee scalable, secure, and performant systems, including microservices, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and database architecture (SQL and MongoDB). * Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability through sound DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices.
