Preferred Qualifications: * Exposure to Agile development methodologies. * Experience with UX/UI design principles, unit testing, debugging UI and performance issues. Working Conditions: * In office on a hybrid basis is required * Mostly office environment and in engineer labs. * May be required to perform field tests. ## Description The Software Engineer I designs, develops and enhances software, firmware, contributing to code reviews and overall software architecture. This role sits within our Amsterdam, Netherlands location with or Power Systems business unit. This role plays a foundational role in supporting the development of innovative software solutions within the Navico Group PD&E division. This position is designed for recent graduates or individuals with limited industry experience who are eager to grow their technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. Under the mentorship of senior engineers, the Software Engineer I contributes to the full software development lifecycle - including design, coding, testing, and documentation - while gaining exposure to real-world engineering practices. This role emphasizes learning, adaptability, and teamwork, providing a strong platform for career progression in embedded systems and marine technologies., * Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications. * Collaborate with team members to understand technical requirements and project goals. * Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. * Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities. * Learn and apply software development best practices and tools.
