This role requires a thorough understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, Kubernetes (K8s), Data Platforms and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, connectivity, security, and efficiency of both Global cloud and 24/7 on-premises manufacturing environments. You'll be the person implementing the platform that connects our automated Robotics synthesis labs to both on-prem and cloud-based services., 1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: * Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using a range of services such as EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and VPC. * Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity roles, security groups, and network controls. * Ensure high availability, resiliency and dynamic scalability of the AWS environment. * Automate cloud operations using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK. * Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes (K8s) on AWS (EKS). * Build and shape the observability & real-time telemetry platform 2. Secure by Design * Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for cloud and local network environments. * Administer and manage firewalls(cloud & local), ensuring they are properly configured to protect network integrity. * Implement and manage VPN solutions for secure remote access, including site-to-site and client-to-site VPNs. * Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments and take corrective actions to mitigate risks. * Stay informed about the latest security threats and implement measures to protect against them (including data backup management and automation). * Secure SDLC, secrets management, least-privilege IAM patterns, zero-trust principles. 3. Collaboration and Support: * Work closely with development, chemistry, robotics and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud and local network systems. Including the introduction of new vendor-based hardware solutions and custom robotics platforms. * Provide technical support and training to remote team members and on-site operations end-users as needed. * Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies in a timely manner. * Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance efficiency.
