## About the Role

* EDM Experience: Proven background working directly as an EDM Operator
 * Manufacturing Background: Experience in production and/or prototype injection molding
 * Industry Sector: Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector is strongly preferred
 * Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills with high attention to technical detail
 * Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Skills & Experience

 * Software: Hands-on experience with Visi CAD/CAM software
 * Equipment: Direct experience operating Makino sinker EDM and CNC electrode cutting machinery
 * ERP Systems: Prior exposure to Epicor ERP or similar manufacturing execution software

## Description

The EDM Operator supports the tooling group in a fast-paced manufacturing business. The successful candidate must be a self-starter having a sense of ownership of their projects, and highly organized with a willingness to grow within the EDM group., * Electrode Design: Design precision electrodes from project data using Visi Tooling CAD software

 * NC Programming: Program electrodes efficiently utilizing Visi CAM software
 * Preparation & Setup: Cut electrode blanks and accurately mount them into Erowa holders
 * Electrode Machining: Operate and machine electrodes using Makino CNC electrode cutting machines
 * EDM Operation: Load, locate, and burn components using three Makino sinker EDM machines
 * Automation (Preferred): Utilize knowledge of Erowa electrode feeding robots to optimize workflows
 * ERP Tracking: Complete daily production tracking and data entry within the Epicor ERP system
