Standby / call-out support and provision of support to critical operations may sometimes be required. ## Description We are looking for a Storage Platform Expert with knowledge in Ceph and GPFS, to operate and evolve EUMETSAT's software-defined and distributed storage platforms supporting mission-critical workloads. Background: The Infrastructure and Data Division (I2D), within EUMETSAT's Technical and Scientific Support Department (TSS) operates and evolves the Multi-Mission IT Computing (MIC) environment providing 24x7 Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms, container management platforms, virtualised environments and software-defined storage for EUMETSAT's operational ground-segment infrastructure. You will join a dynamic team responsible for operating, maintaining, securing and evolving the MIC infrastructure as it progresses towards hybrid, container-based, automation-driven and AI-assisted operations.
