## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
 * CAP Professional or equivalent certification.
 * 6 years of relevant experience, or 5 years with a Master's degree.
 * Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
 * Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements. Ability to obtain Public Trust prior to hire and maintain during employment is required.

Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

## Description

The Data Scientist designs and develops advanced analytical models to support descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics initiatives., * Build statistical and machine learning models.

 * Develop advanced analytics solutions using Python, R, and related tools.
 * Conduct predictive and prescriptive analysis.
 * Support AI and data modernization initiatives.
 * Present findings to technical and executive audiences.
 * Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.
