As an R&D Engineer, you will be a key team member to drive the design and development of novel orthodontic solutions. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams working with materials, software, and 3D printing systems to solve complex technical challenges in the areas of product performance and design., * Leverage 3D technologies, software-platforms, and biomechanical principles to design novel orthodontic solutions. * Lead product development and research projects from concept through launch. * Develop test plans for efficacy, reliability, verification, and validation. * Define procedures to evaluate real-world product performance and conduct bench top testing in accordance with FDA/ISO guidelines. * Supplement functional performance testing with metrological analysis and/or material characterization. * Perform statistical analysis and interpret data to guide technical decisions and product improvements. * Connect product outcomes back to the inputs and outputs of advanced 3D manufacturing processes. * Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. * Incorporate real-world data and customer feedback into future waves of product development. * Collaborate across functions to drive creative solutions in a dynamic team environment. * Provide general engineering support for Product Research & Development (PR&D)., At Align, every smile matters.
