## About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Data Warehouse Architect / ETL Developer to spearhead a critical enterprise data modernization initiative. This contract role focuses on migrating mission-critical data pipelines from on-premise IBM DataStage to IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).

## Description

ETL Architecture & Migration

 * Design, enhance, and optimize complex ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage (parallel/server jobs and job sequencing).
 * Support the modernization and migration of on-premise jobs into IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D), including code refactoring and validation.
 * Apply Master Data Management (MDM) principles to guarantee data quality, governance, and consistency across systems.

Automation & Environment Management

 * Write Unix/Linux shell scripts to manage file systems, monitor background processes, and troubleshoot runtime issues.
 * Utilize Python and XML to build automation into data transformations and end-to-end workflows.
 * Develop complex SQL queries for efficient data extraction, validation, and performance tuning across relational databases.

Collaboration & Delivery

 * Work closely with Data Architects, DBAs, and analysts within an Agile framework to support sprints and code deployments.
 * Perform root-cause analysis on pipeline failures and ensure absolute compliance with data security standards.
