This organization of IT professionals installs and maintains the technical infrastructure used by Data Center Engineering Operations Staff, specifically Operational Technology (NIST800-82). This team is experiencing rapid growth as we expand our global Data Center portfolio. In this role you will learn the high level technical designs of the environment including Networking, Industrial Controls (HVAC and Electrical), and Community Mechanisms- while providing coaching, mentoring and guidance for a diverse team of admins, engineers, analysts and PMs. Some travel to meet members of the geographically diverse team, learn about the business first hand and develop relationships with peer Managers and Operations leaders. You will regularly manage large, cross-functional projects and interact with software developers, executives, vendors and other support teams., Operational Excellence - As a manager you will be expected to drive operational excellence in everything we do. This includes creating processes, procedures, and automation to improve efficiency in our day-to-day tasks and projects. You will work closely on supporting our internal customers and ensuring that their needs and issues are being addressed. Performance Management/Team Health - You will own all facets of performance and career management of assigned staff. Regular one-on-one meetings with all team members are required. You will be expected to provide both technical and 'soft skill' mentoring in order to maintain a well-rounded, world-class organization. This includes project management, quality audits, and coordination of training sessions with senior-level engineers as well as day-to-day oversight of the team including scheduling when needed. Controls and Networking Technical Guidance - You will work with your Sr Engineers to understand the technical landscape and provide strategic guidance in supporting cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in leveraging Systems Engineering core competencies. A day in the life A day in the life of this role will involve a mix of meeting with our internal Engineering and Operations teams as well as other TPM's to implement solutions across our infrastructure. You will be expected to own outcomes and closing detected gaps across the teams, and producing effective reporting demonstrating the mechanistic closure of issues detected.
