## About the Role

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
 * 2+ years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
 * Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
 * Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
 * Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
 * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

 * Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
 * Knowledge of electronic payment systems and bank reconciliations.
 * Understanding of GAAP and internal controls related to cash handling.

## Description

* Process and post daily incoming payments (via ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit cards) to customer accounts.
 * Reconcile unapplied cash and resolve payment discrepancies by communicating with internal teams and external clients.
 * Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer payment records in the accounting system.
 * Investigate and resolve short pays, overpayments, and other variances.
 * Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing cash-related reports and reconciliations.
 * Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Collections teams to ensure smooth cash flow.
 * Maintain documentation of all cash application activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
 * Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and account analysis.
