* 15+ years experience as a software and systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope
 * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university
 * 4 years of additional software or systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
 * Experience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languages
 * Excellent organizational and facilitation skills
 * Self-starter able to step up to difficult challenges

Desired Competencies:

 * Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development (DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, DO-330, etc.)
 * Understanding of MIL-STD-882

## Description

* Perform in a "Model Based Systems Engineering" (MBSE) environment
 * Analyze users' requirements, concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
 * Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities
 * Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches and conduct feasibility studies
 * Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design and technology
 * Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
 * Develop technical, system Architecture and system design documentation
 * Collaborates with Product Owners regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues
 * Take responsibility for the technical integrity of systems engineering work
