Education, Training and Experience:

 * Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.
 * Associate degree in a related field.
 * Two (2) years of helpdesk or computer repair experience.
 * CompTIA A+ certification.
 * Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

## Description

The IT Technician provides first-line technical support across all City departments. This role troubleshoots hardware, software, and communication devices while supporting inventory, staff training, and system updates to ensure daily operations run smoothly., * Serve as the first point of contact for technical support needs, troubleshooting desktop/laptop PCs, VoIP phones, cellular devices, printers, and peripherals.

 * Respond quickly to support tickets, prioritizing issues to minimize downtime.
 * Assist users experiencing credential, MFA, and access-control issues.
 * Research best practices and new technologies and assist with implementation.
 * Contribute to development of SOPs and assist with staff education.
 * Train staff on City-issued devices and software.
 * Monitor City devices for potential misuse or security concerns.
 * Apply patches, updates, and security improvements to City devices.
 * Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment, devices, and parts.
 * Record and livestream City Council, Planning Commission, and other meetings.
 * Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
 * Perform additional duties as assigned.
