## About the Role

* Must have good telephone etiquette and good customer service skills.
 * Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Internet browsers; MS office Professional suite and other applications.
 * Solve basic routine Software and Hardware issues as necessary.
 * Must be a self-starter in exercising initiative with the ability to get things done by performing daily tasks effectively.
 * Must be able to work evening shift(4pm 9 pm) and/or split shift.

Requirements:

 * Must have at least one year of experience
 * Must be a UHD Student

## Description

The Student Computer Lab Assistant at the UHD Kingwood Location to assist the Distance Education Department. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service and communication skills, is self-motivated, and has a working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and general computer hardware and software. Evening and split-shift availability is required., * Monitors the operation of the general computer lab.

 * Assists with Software installations if needed.
 * Greets students as they come into the general computer area.
 * Performs other duties as assigned.
 * Provides data entry for the Service Desk Ticketing System.
 * Provide first Tier technical support to students and faculty.
 * Perform opening and/or closing procedures; and other duties as assigned.
