## About the Role

IT Asset Management Group/ RefurbConnect has an immediate opening for a full-time Computer Repair Technician. The technician must have the ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and rebuild desktop and laptop computers, or other related hardware systems., * 2 year associates or technical degree is required

 * Minimum of 2+ years experience as a computer technician or related position
 * CompTIA and/or A+ certification preferred
 * Knowledge of networking (routers/switches) and storage a plus
 * Proficient with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems

Skills & Abilities:

 * Highly-organized and detail-oriented
 * Able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
 * Must communicate effectively and work well with others
 * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

## Description

* Test functionality of primarily Laptops as well as PCs, Macs, tablets, and other hardware.
 * Diagnose and identify hardware failure or software problems.
 * Perform advanced hardware rebuilds, repairs, and component replacements, including but not limited to top lids, components, keyboards, screens, batteries, etc.
 * Troubleshoot and install operating systems, software and drivers, and load images.
 * Complete assigned work orders within established time frames.
 * Document incoming equipment information and specifications.
 * Maintain a clean and organized work area.
 * Ensure quality control standards are being met or exceeded.
 * Follow established processes and procedures.
 * Test functionality of PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets, phones, printers, servers, and other hardware.
