You don't need to be a research scientist, but you should be comfortable collaborating with data scientists, reading a training pipeline, and knowing what it takes to get a model from a notebook into production. * Familiarity with serving and integrating AI models in real applications: model APIs and inference, versioning, and monitoring for drift or degradation once a model is live. * Experience shipping products and a genuine interest in working with the people who use them. * Autonomy, rigour, curiosity and initiative. Leadership and collaboration * 5+ years leading fullstack projects. * A history of delivering technical work that maps to real business goals. * The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues. * Fluent English and the interpersonal skills to work across functions, from the CTO to product, regulatory and customers. * A calm, structured, empathetic way of leading in a multicultural team. Nice to have * A scientific background (bioinformatics, data science, statistics). * Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn, or with MLOps tooling for training, tracking and deploying models. * Some exposure to LLMs and modern AI workflows, whether fine-tuning, retrieval, or building features on top of foundation models. * Experience contributing to product design, from mockups to user interviews to A/B testing. * A hybrid profile that pairs strong front-end craft with a good grasp of architecture and complex data management. ## Description * Design and build the web apps, APIs and analysis pipelines that process complex scientific data. * Develop our B2B SaaS platform for AI-driven scientific analysis, with real attention to security, availability and usability. * Shape the product itself: scoping features, gathering requirements, running user tests, validating hypotheses and iterating. * Work alongside our data science, product, design and engineering teams to keep the experience coherent end to end. What we're looking for What you'll do You'll own four main areas: * Design and build the web apps, APIs and analysis pipelines that process complex scientific data. * Develop our B2B SaaS platform for AI-driven scientific analysis, with real attention to security, availability and usability. * Help put our AI models into production and keep them running: serving them behind our APIs, wiring up the data and training pipelines they depend on, and building the tooling to monitor their outputs once they're live. * Shape the product itself: scoping features, gathering requirements, running user tests, validating hypotheses and iterating. * Work alongside our data science, product, design and engineering teams to keep the experience coherent end to end. ## Related Videos - [Web-based Information Visualization](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/84-web-based-information-visualization) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Python Data Visualization @ Deepnote (w/ PyViz overview)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/113-python-data-visualization-deepnote-w-pyviz-overview) - [Developer Experience, Platform Engineering and AI powered Apps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/990-developer-experience-platform-engineering-and-ai-powered-apps) - [AI Model Management Life Circles: ML Ops For Generative AI Models From Research to Deployment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1152-ai-model-management-life-circles-ml-ops-for-generative-ai-models-from-research-to-deployment) ## Related Articles - [Find a Developer Job: 12 Best Job Sites For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/165-find-a-developer-job-12-best-job-sites-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [7 Most Popular Web Developer Jobs in Europe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/163-7-most-popular-web-developer-jobs-in-europe) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers)
