They bridge the gap between data platforms and business stakeholders, focusing on risk, fraud detection, and reporting within the banking and finance sector. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. Your Role: * Design, develop, and maintain SAS programs (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SQL, Data Step). * Build robust data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading. * Optimize SAS jobs for performance, scalability, and maintainability. * Work with large datasets (including SPDE, SAS datasets, external sources). * Perform thorough unit testing, system testing, and UAT support for SAS code. * Develop and maintain validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy. * Conduct impact assessment on code changes and data refresh cycles. * Document test cases, results, and coding standards. * Analyse complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and insights. * Prepare analytical outputs, dashboards, or reports in SAS or other BI tools. * Partner with business teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical designs. * Exposure to pricing frameworks, financial modelling, or actuarial concepts. * Understanding of regression models, forecasting techniques, or predictive models.
