## About the Role

* 3+ years of experience with UX strategy, user research, UI / UX design, or product experience roles
 * Experience designing data-heavy, mission-focused web applications
 * Knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
 * Knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, and design systems
 * Knowledge of Section 508 or WCAG accessibility and usability best practices
 * Ability to conduct user interviews, usability testing, and workflow studies with technical and non-technical users
 * Ability to produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and polished UI designs
 * Ability to translate complex mission or analytical concepts into intuitive user experience s
 * Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
 * HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

 * Experience working with Department of War customers
 * Experience in Agile environments working closely with product managers and engineers
 * Experience with building or contributing to scalable design systems
 * Knowledge of operational, analytical, or planning workflows used within the Department of War
 * Knowledge of research synthesis met hods such as journey mapping, persona development, and ecosystem mapping
