Progressive does not hire candidates with (e.g., F-1 CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN) statuses for this role. ## Description As a senior developer - Socotra/DXC in Progressive Life, you'll play a role in building, integrating, and scaling the technology ecosystem that supports our life insurance business. You'll apply your knowledge of life insurance platforms, including Socotra and DXC Assure, and the ability to connect modern JavaScript application development with complex policy administration, product configuration, data flows, vendor integrations, and downstream operational needs. Working within a cross-functional team, you'll provide creative technical direction and problem-solving across projects at various stages of their life cycles. You'll develop new features, refine and maintain existing ones, and write unit tests and documentation for ongoing development and maintenance. You'll partner closely with designers, UX, product strategists, test engineers, technical leads, developers, and third-party vendors to ensure a shared understanding of product needs, platform dependencies, and implementation impacts. You'll also help promote consistent architectural patterns across projects and Level20 while leveraging your experience to debug complex applications, optimize best practices, and support the continued growth of Progressive Life's specialized life insurance technology landscape. Progressive Life began within Level20, Progressive's growth incubator, where we built a term life insurance product and business from the ground up. After a successful launch and early growth, we've spun out into the Strategy group, now focused on scaling our products, capabilities, and impact.
