## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
 * 4-6+ years of cybersecurity, SOC, or SIEM engineering experience.
 * Experience with SIEM engineering, security monitoring, and AI/ML in detection engineering.
 * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Python, and PowerShell.
 * Experience with API integrations and SIEM log ingestion.
 * Multi-tenant or managed security services experience is a plus.

## Description

Our client is seeking a Cyber Defense Engineer - SIEM to design, implement, and optimize advanced security monitoring and response capabilities. This role focuses on AI-driven detection engineering, SIEM/SOAR automation, and scalable security architecture within the Microsoft security ecosystem.
Responsibilities

 * Develop AI-enhanced detections, automations, and response playbooks within SIEM/SOAR platforms.
 * Optimize security monitoring using AI/ML for anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and threat correlation.
 * Integrate security tools and data sources to improve visibility and detection capabilities.
 * Enhance alert enrichment, triage, and automated response workflows.
 * Collaborate with security and IT teams to improve telemetry, data pipelines, and incident response.
 * Continuously improve SIEM engineering, detection logic, and operational efficiency.
