This position involves personnel interaction on the customer level as well as the construction level. The Project Manager works with the Construction Services Manager in a mentorship program to allow for slow steady growth and development of the PM as it relates to their sales, business development, engineering and project management skills., * Contacting the customer during the bid process to get due date, drawings, and job requirements. * Reviewing the submittals, specifications, and prints to determine the scope of work. * Estimate the testing and balancing hours required to complete the project based on the scope of work developed with the project engineer. * Gather all site related information including site contacts, prints for the job, parking requirements, and site address. * Prepare the balancing reports for the upcoming job. * Send RFIs for discrepancies in data. * Set up the in-house job start meeting between field supervisor and engineer. * Manage job progress - communicate job progress and monitor and help solve issues in the field. * Send testing and balancing status updates bi-weekly minimum. * Coordinate start of job with startup technician, project engineer, field foreman, controls contractor. * Visit the jobsite regularly to coordinate with the jobsite startup technician, control contractor, foreman, and to attend MEP coordination meetings as required. * Set up regular billing based on project completion percentage. * Review of reports from the field, looking for open deficiencies, issues, formatting errors, typographical errors.
