Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a formal degree. * 1+ years' experience in computer troubleshooting is required. * Current Utah Driver's License with a good driving record. * Must pass a background check. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives. * Ability to manage projects simultaneously. * Must be highly self-motivated. * Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. * Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays when needed; schedule may vary on a weekly basis. * Positive attitude and ability to work with a variety of different people at various levels. * Excellent customer orientation skills required., Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, a background and driving record check, and a Human Performance Evaluation, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and provide employment verification (I-9). This position has a six-month probation period. ## Description Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for staffing the IT help desk in Riverton City and is responsible for providing excellent customer service to City staff over the phone, in person, and by email in a timely manner. The main responsibilities include installation and maintenance of IT equipment, including equipment such as PC's, iPads, thin clients, printers, and other end-user devices. Will provide support for daily IT projects and activities as directed.
