## About the Role

* Minimum of 10+ years' experience in test engineering, product validation, or related field
 * Experience with prototype testing and transitioning products from development to production. Preferred background in fire protection systems, life safety equipment, or similar regulated industries.
 * Experience testing electronic components and consumer appliance-type systems, including embedded or electromechanical products
 * Proficiency in data analysis, instrumentation, and test automation tools.
 * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
 * Familiarity with UL and FM certification processes, standards, and compliance requirements.

## Description

The Test Engineer is responsible for designing, executing, and validating test protocols to support the development of Sonic Fire Tech (SFT) systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product performance, safety, and compliance by leading prototype testing efforts and contributing to the transition from R&D to production in a fast-paced startup environment., * Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test plans for prototype and pre-production systems, including functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing

 * Design and implement test fixtures, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for electronic components and integrated electromechanical products
 * Analyze test data, identify failure modes, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
 * Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support design for testability and transition from R&D to production
 * Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards, including UL and FM certification requirements; interface with external test labs and certification bodies as needed
 * Develop and maintain detailed test procedures, protocols, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
 * Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient testing environment
