This role is responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, disaster recovery, and modernization initiatives across cloud and on-premises platforms. The ideal candidate has strong Azure SQL expertise, database migration experience, and a proven ability to support high-availability production systems., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred. * 5+ years of database administration experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments. * Strong experience with Azure SQL in multi-region configurations. * 2+ years of experience performing database migrations, upgrades, modernization initiatives, and performance tuning across Azure IaaS and PaaS environments. * Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines. * Strong experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, failover, and disaster recovery. * Experience monitoring Azure virtual machines, storage, memory utilization, and infrastructure health. * Proficiency creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams using Microsoft Visio. * Experience supporting enterprise production environments and resolving complex database issues.
