## About the Role

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory or Machine Learning.

 * Knowledge developing and implementing signal processing algorithms for airborne surveillance applications, including signal and image processing, physics-constrained modeling, digital communications, or detection and estimation theory.
 * Experience in UNIX/Linux environments. Programming experience in C or C++, and hands on experience using MATLAB or Python for data analysis
 * Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

 * Active DoD Top Secret clearance
 * Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
 * Mathematical modeling and analytical problem-solving skills
 * Experience using software change management tools, version control systems, and established software development processes
 * Realtime programming for embedded or mission critical systems

## Description

* Perform system level performance analysis to evaluate and optimize advanced airborne sensor capabilities
 * Develop, refine, and analyze algorithms to support mission-critical aerospace applications
 * Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and guide engineering decisions
 * Build statistical models and performance predictions for complex, multidisciplinary systems
 * Execute detailed data analyses following Raytheon engineering processes and best practices
 * Participate in formal and informal peer reviews; identify, track, and resolve technical issues
 * Provide clear, timely task status updates and deliver high quality work products to the chief engineer
 * Interface daily with engineering teammates, other team leads, and cross-functional partners to ensure technical alignment
 * Support customer and program presentations by contributing technical content and insights
 * Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes
