## About the Role

* Working knowledge of cloud services
 * Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
 * Experience transforming legacy on-prem solutions to properly designed cloud-based solutions
 * Knowledge of system security, data backup, and recovery
 * Familiarity with various operating system platforms
 * Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
 * Excellent communication and collaboration skills
 * Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
 * Experience with cloud-compatible monitoring tools and logging solutions

 * AWS
 * Azure
 * VMware (VMC, VCDR)
 * ForgeRock
 * CloudFormation
 * Terraform

Education Preferred: 4 year degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or other related field. Certification in Cloud Technologies is required.

Years of Experience

 * A minimum of two years of Cloud-technology experience required.
 * Experience working in an Agile environment preferred.

## Description

The Cloud Engineer operates under minimal supervision in an agile team environment and plays a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and improving our operating environment across cloud platforms. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and administrating technical solutions primarily
hosted on cloud-based platforms with primary focus on the AWS platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

 * Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud-hosted solutions
 * Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud-based solutions
 * Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
 * Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements and standards
 * Troubleshoot issues and outages and assist other teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
 * Partner with colleagues to help each other grow expertise in legacy, current, and emerging technologies
 * Build and maintain documentation of internal systems and usage of external systems
 * Assist other teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
 * Provide advanced technical support when needed by other teams or your team
 * Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
