EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited university preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered. Certifications/Licenses: Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent preferred. Experience supporting or designing networks in critical infrastructure or industrial (OT/SCADA) environments is highly preferred. ## Description The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and support of enterprise IT and Operational Technology (OT) network systems, including data, voice, video, wireless, and industrial communications. This role ensures the secure, resilient, and scalable operation of all GBRA network environments. This position serves as a technical lead, establishing network standards, driving design decisions, and ensuring alignment with security and operational requirements across IT and SCADA/OT environments., STRATEGY & PLANNING * Develop and maintain network architecture standards, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and OT network segmentation aligned with industry best practices. * Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. * Design and evaluate secure network architectures, including segmentation, firewall placement, and remote access strategies. * Conduct research on network technologies, platforms, and vendors to support long-term infrastructure planning and modernization efforts. * Lead capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure scalability and reliability across multi-site environments. * Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and high-availability network designs. * Collaborate with IT, SCADA, and GIS teams to align network design with business and operational requirements. * Establish and maintain network asset monitoring and management practices, including inventory and lifecycle planning.
