Technician 1, no experience required, this level will participate in a four-year apprenticeship, or equivalent training program. Technician 2, minimum of 4 years of experience, completion of four-year apprenticeship or training program, or equivalent training., * Knowledge working with Motorola products preferred. * Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge preferred. * Knowledge using & troubleshooting electronics preferred. * Ability to multi-task and be flexible with ever changing work priorities. * Ability to mentor newer technicians and work closely with engineering staff. * Possess high quality communication and organizational skills. * Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytic skills, capable of addressing challenging technical issues. * Understanding of relevant telecom technologies and concepts. * Strong background in configuring and supporting telecommunications equipment. * Demonstrate experience in telecommunications networking and hardware support. * Understanding of various communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, SNTP, TCP/IP). * Diagnose and correct any issues that arise across complex layers of hardware and software. * Securely handle and protect sensitive information regarding BES Cyber Systems and Telecom Network Cyber Security (TNCS). * Possess personal computer skills including working knowledge of both hardware fundamentals and software applications. * Possess the ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions. * Ability to work independently or in a team environment to safely fulfill departmental and company goals. * Involves potential risks in working near and around energized lines and equipment. * Must be available to work overtime and accept callouts. ## Description Provides field support for SRP's various telecommunication systems. These systems include Trunked, Conventional, Simplex radio as well as dispatch console technology.
