* Ability to program in at least one general-purpose language such as Java, Python, or C++\n
 * Ability to learn new technologies quickly, and a genuine interest in doing so.\n
 * Able to collaborate with others while handling independent tasking.\n
 * Clear written and verbal communication.\n
 * Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.\n
 * Coursework or project experience with REST APIs, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), or data frameworks (Kafka, Spark).\n
 * Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies and platforms.\n, n
 * Familiarity with Git, Linux, or Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).\n
 * Internship, co-op, capstone, research, or open-source experience.\n
 * Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as VS Code AI extensions, Cursor, or Claude Code.\n, * Hands-on experience in any of the following will make a candidate stand out,though none are required: distributed data platforms (Kafka, Spark, Iceberg,Trino), object storage (S3, Ceph), Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure,or integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications.\n
