Pushing Pulling ## Description Like any midsize town Black Rock City has extensive network infrastructure connecting everyone from departmental staff to first responders. Burning Man IT is assembling a fast moving, dedicated network specific team to assist in the deployment of the Black Rock City network for Burning Man 2026. This is a temporary, full-time , Exempt role, based in Black Rock City, Nevada running from August 8, 2026 to September 11 , 2026., Members of the Burning Man IT BRC Network team will work full time directly under a career network engineer to assist in connecting numerous departments and operations in Black Rock City ranging from Airport to Gate to Emergency Services. Applicants don't need to be career network engineers or technicians but must possess general technical and mechanical inclination, including strong computer competencies. Applicants should be comfortable and competent using tools, ladders, and take naturally to technical concepts. Specific skills, training, and tools required for the position will be provided by BMIT. Willingness to work on-call shifts and non-traditional hours is required.
