We are OpenTelemetry-native, building a delightful, simple, and AI-centric platform that eliminates vendor lock-in and meaningless toil. Shape a product that developers love-all with transparent pricing and cost-control built in. Let's Build a Data Engine at Scale! Are you ready to build the backbone of a product that customers genuinely love? At Dash0, we're not just building another observability tool; we're on a mission to bring observability closer to the developers; make it a part of their everyday work. We believe that getting deep insights should be easy and accessible. Our customers praise our simpler solution that empowers developers, and we're scaling fast. We're looking for Product Engineers to join our Backend Platform Team, which lays the foundation for all the great features Dash0 offers and we'll be building in the future. And that's where you come in! The Challenge You'll Tackle: * Design and build a data pipeline at massive scale. Our core platform is expanding rapidly. We need your expertise to build highly scalable and resilient backend services in Go to ensure our platform can ingest, process, and query massive amounts of telemetry data with unwavering reliability. * Solve complex data engineering puzzles. How do we efficiently store and query terabytes of data in ClickHouse? How do we optimize our data pipelines for cost and performance as we grow? You'll be at the heart of these critical architectural decisions. * Architect for the future. As we add more cutting-edge features, you'll lay the foundational backend architecture that allows us to innovate quickly. Think robust microservices, intelligent data routing, and seamless integration with new data sources. What Success Looks Like (and How You'll Get There): * Within 1 week, you'll have shipped your first piece of production code. * Within 3 months, you'll have shipped significant features and improvements to our core data ingestion or processing pipeline, directly impacting platform performance and reliability. * Within 6 months, you'll be a go-to expert for key areas of our backend, mentoring other engineers and proposing innovative solutions to our toughest scaling challenges. You'll be working alongside some truly brilliant minds who are eager to collaborate and learn with you. * Within 12 months, you'll have played a pivotal role in evolving our backend architecture to support the next generation of Dash0 features, helping us stay ahead in a competitive market. ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Using backend languages for frontends: Why ClojureScript is an awesome idea!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/229-using-backend-languages-for-frontends-why-clojurescript-is-an-awesome-idea) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Making Data Warehouses Fast: A Developer’s Story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/107-making-data-warehouses-fast-a-developer-s-story) - [Dev Digest 139 - Soft and hard queries](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/487-dev-digest-139-soft-and-hard-queries) - [Dev Digest 159: AI Pipelines, 10x Faster TypeScript, How to Interview](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/563-dev-digest-159-ai-pipelines-10x-faster-typescript-how-to-interview)
