Success in this role will require identifying emerging opportunities, influencing future product investments, strengthening competitive positioning, and helping drive customer adoption of Hexagon technology in high-growth applications including DSP, AI, and embedded software workloads. Excellent communication skills and a passion for open-source development are a big plus., * Relevant experience in engineering, applications engineering or product management with expertise in one or more of the following areas: embedded processor architectures and software, embedded software tools including C/C++ compilers, debuggers, profilers, emulators and RTOS environments. * Strong understanding of Microcontrollers and DSP architectures and deep experience with at least one major embedded processor architecture, such as ARM or RISC-V, is required. * Understanding of Embedded Software and RTOS principles * Hands on experience with Compilers, Debuggers, Profilers, Emulators and other tools used as part of the Embedded Development process. * Familiarity with developer toolchains, SDKs, and system-level software environments * Experience with open-source development * Familiarity with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Qualcomm RTOS (QuRT) or similar Real Time Operating Systems. Communication: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to convey technical concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders. The Product Manager will play a strategic role in shaping the roadmap, positioning, and market success of Hexagon and RISC-V current and next-generation software products. This role sits at the center of product strategy, customer insight, and go-to-market execution, translating market requirements and technology trends into differentiated product direction and stronger business outcomes. The role will focus on enabling scalable, developer-friendly embedded platforms through ownership of developer workflows, toolchains and RTOS ecosystems, while strengthening Qualcomm's position in edge AI and heterogeneous compute., Product Strategy: Define and execute product strategies for Embedded Software Solutions ensuring alignment with Qualcomm's vision and market needs for embedded and memory constrained use-cases Developer Platform Ownership: Drive improvements in developer experience across toolchains, SDKs, and workflows, including compilers, debuggers, RTOS integration, and system software environments Ecosystem Leadership: Drive Qualcomm's engagement in open-source ecosystems (e.g., Zephyr), influencing upstream direction, strengthening ecosystem positioning, and identifying opportunities for deeper integration with Hexagon capabilities Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
