You will work directly with customer engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams, often in their environments and alongside their engineers. You will own the technical delivery of customer deployments, integrate Pi into existing systems and workflows, and build customized solutions that address each customer's security and operational needs. This is a highly technical, hands-on, and customer-facing role. You will move between infrastructure, application development, systems integration, security architecture, and product discovery. You will deploy production-grade systems, debug complex customer environments, write software and automation, and translate customer requirements into durable platform capabilities. You will also serve as a critical bridge between customers and Pi's product and engineering teams, helping us identify recurring needs, improve the platform, and turn successful customer-specific solutions into scalable product capabilities. What You'll Do * Lead the technical deployment of Pi within customer environments, including cloud, private network, customer-managed, and hybrid configurations. * Travel to customer sites when needed to work directly with engineering, security, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders. * Own customer implementations from initial architecture and integration planning through production deployment, validation, and ongoing operation. * Integrate Pi with customer systems such as source control, CI/CD platforms, ticketing systems, identity providers, cloud environments, security tools, data sources, and internal developer platforms. * Build customized applications, workflows, connectors, automations, and product extensions that help customers leverage Pi for their specific security and engineering processes. * Translate ambiguous customer needs into clear technical requirements, solution designs, implementation plans, and working software. * Configure and operate Kubernetes-based environments, including workloads, networking, ingress, autoscaling, secrets, and workload identity. * Build and maintain customer deployment infrastructure using infrastructure as code. * Support customer-specific databases, caches, object storage, container registries, networking, secrets, and deployment pipelines. * Troubleshoot issues across customer infrastructure, networking, applications, workers, databases, integrations, and agentic workflows. * Establish observability through logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks. * Harden deployments across IAM, secrets management, network boundaries, workload identity, production access, and data isolation. * Help customers operate Pi successfully by developing deployment documentation, runbooks, automation, training, and operational best practices. * Partner closely with Pi's product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback, identify product gaps, and prioritize reusable improvements. * Turn successful customer-specific implementations into repeatable integrations, deployment patterns, and core product capabilities. * Build trusted relationships with customer teams and become a technical partner they rely on for solving difficult problems., * Kubernetes * Terraform * Helm * GitHub Actions * Docker * Node.js * Bun * Python * TypeScript * PostgreSQL * Redis * Lexical, semantic, and hybrid search * Vector search * Graph-based data modeling * Workflow orchestration systems * Data ingestion and indexing pipelines ## Related Videos - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [Enabling automated 1-click customer deployments with built-in quality and security](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/83-enabling-automated-1-click-customer-deployments-with-built-in-quality-and-security) - [Accelerating Authentication Architecture: Taking Passwordless to the Next Level](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/733-accelerating-authentication-architecture-taking-passwordless-to-the-next-level) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) ## Related Articles - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Events like RSAC Get You CISOs.
