## About the Role

* Associate degree in information technology, information systems, or a related technical field preferred; trade school training and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
 * About two years of experience in IT or another technical role, such as PC technician, QA tester, IT support specialist, or a similar position.
 * Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and new or specialized software applications.
 * Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to keep learning.
 * Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
 * CompTIA A+ certification is a plus; Network+ and Linux+ certifications are also helpful.
 * Familiarity with networking, Linux/Unix environments, electro-mechanical devices, or robotic equipment is helpful but not required.

Travel and Physical Requirements

 * Valid driver's license with a clear driving record.
 * Ability to obtain a passport after hire and to travel by air or drive to customer locations as needed. Travel is sometimes at short notice.
 * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
 * Ability to lift toolboxes and computer servers weighing approximately 45-60 pounds.
 * Ability to accurately see small PC components, video displays, code, and technical drawings.

Job Type: Full-time, with domestic and international travel expected approximately 15%-25% of the time., * Do you own a valid driver's license?

## Description

If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and traveling to support real-world installations, this role could be a great fit. As an IT Field Service Technician, you'll install, test, troubleshoot, and support hardware, software, servers, peripherals, and related systems for customers in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You'll be an important point of contact for customers who need technical support, both remotely and on site. We're looking for someone who is curious, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable learning new technologies while communicating clearly with clients and teammates.

What You'll Do

· Test new software, identify issues, and share clear findings with software developers.

· Build, configure, and prepare servers, computers, and peripherals for customer installations.

· Support customers remotely and in person by troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

· Respond to trouble tickets, emails, chats, and phone calls with professionalism and follow-through.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep customer systems running smoothly.

· Install and test systems at customer sites, then help train users so they feel confident using the equipment.

· Create and update helpful technical documentation, including software manuals and support materials.

· Take part in an off-hours on-call rotation to support customers when needed.
