KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

 * Detail oriented with ability to organize and prioritize various tasks.
 * Strong MS Excel skills and ability to adapt to various computerized accounting systems.
 * Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
 * Ability to process transactions with accuracy, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
 * Exhibits sound judgment and problem-solving abilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 * Minimum of high school diploma required. Associate's degree in business related field is a plus/
 * 2-4 years' related experience in a professional environment is preferred.

## Description

The Cash Application Analyst will assume responsibility for various cash application functions to ensure all daily cash receipts are applied to customer accounts in an accurate and timely manner., * Prepare and process electronic cash application files.

 * Prepare and key enter manual cash application transactions as necessary.
 * Reconcile customer payments with detail account balances as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
 * Analyze customer import files to determine reasons for failed imports into A/R system.
 * Communicate effectively with other D&H departments, primarily Credit department reps for various customer accounts.
 * Research miscellaneous payments / checks received to determine the appropriate department / account.
 * Prepare daily A/R-Cash Collection Summary report for distribution to D&H management.
 * Process miscellaneous checks for customer refunds.
 * Temporarily assume duties of co-workers when out of office.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

 * Other duties as assigned.
 * Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
 * Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload.
