## About the Role

* Minimum of a 2-year degree in engineering, drafting, or a related field, or 2+ years of relevant experience.
 * Alternatively, 2+ years of combined drafting/engineering experience in a related field.
 * Familiarity with CAD drafting software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, Solidworks, MasterCAM, AlphaCAM etc.)
 * Understanding of architectural drawings and/or engineering prints
 * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
 * Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and accuracy in CAD drafting.
 * Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.

Desired:

 * Knowledge of millwork fabrication processes.
 * Experience with 3D software (Solidworks, Inventor, etc.), * Associate (Preferred), * Millwork engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
 * Architectural drawings : 2 years (Preferred)
 * CAD drafting software: 2 years (Preferred)

## Description

* Product Engineering: Utilize shop drawings created by drafters to engineer millwork products, ensuring they meet design specifications, functionality, and manufacturability standards.
 * CNC Programming: Develop and generate programs for CNC routers.
 * Software Proficiency: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Cabinet Vision, or Microvellum) is required.
 * Collaboration: Work closely with production staff, drafters, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of engineered products into the production workflow.
 * Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes, demonstrating an open mind and a willingness to adapt and improve historical practices.
 * Quality Assurance: Provide production staff with complete and well-thought-out engineering designs, ensuring all products meet quality standards and client specifications.
 * Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any engineering issues that arise during the production process, maintaining clear and effective communication with all relevant departments.
