## About the Role

* Current CCS or CCS-P credential OR
 * RHIT or RHIA credential with recent 5 years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with in-person instruction.
 * Proficiency in the use of on-line Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.

## Description

Responsibilities of a Part-Time Health Information Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:

 * Instruct introductory or advanced medical diagnosis and procedure coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT)
 * Instruct short course in medical terminology in classroom and/or online
 * Develop syllabi and course materials in conjunction with Program Director.
 * Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
 * Assignments may include day or evening classes and on-campus or online.
 * Meet all classes at the time, place and length of time designated.
