## About the Role

We are hiring a Data Center Technician to support the operation of a new mission-critical data center in Barker, NY. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in critical environments such as data centers, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or commercial buildings., * 3+ years of experience in a data center or other critical facility environment.

 * Basic knowledge of BMS, EMS, or SCADA systems.
 * Experience monitoring electrical and mechanical equipment.
 * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * High school diploma or GED required.

## Description

* Perform routine inspections of electrical and mechanical systems.
 * Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Monitoring Systems (EMS), and SCADA systems.
 * Respond to system alarms and escalate issues as needed.
 * Conduct equipment checks on UPS systems, PDUs, switchgear, generators, batteries, pumps, valves, chillers, cooling towers, and fire protection systems.
 * Record equipment readings and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
 * Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment commissioning.
 * Work safely in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment while following all site safety procedures.
