## About the Role

* Extensive experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect in banking.
 * Strong background in Core Banking Systems (e.g., Temenos, Avaloq, SAP Banking, Finacle, Hogan).
 * Deep expertise in payment architectures, payment processing, and enterprise integration.
 * Experience with API-first architectures, microservices, event-driven integration, and cloud-native solutions.
 * Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
 * Experience working in complex, international, multi-entity banking environments.
 * Expertise in SEPA, Instant Payments, Cards, Open Banking, Request-to-Pay, and payment hubs.
 * Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 (pain, pacs, camt), SWIFT MT/MX, cross-border payments, TARGET2/T2, TIPS, settlement, liquidity management, and reconciliation.
 * Experience with real-time payments and high-volume transaction processing.
 * Previous experience with CBDC initiatives, Central Bank Digital Currencies, or Digital Euro projects is highly preferred.
 * Understanding of ECB Digital Euro concepts, digital wallets, and CBDC ecosystem participants is an advantage.

## Description

The role focuses on defining the target architecture and ensuring alignment with ECB requirements, Group architecture standards, and existing banking and payment platforms., * Define the Digital Euro target architecture with Enterprise Architecture teams.

 * Assess centralized vs. local implementation models across Group entities.
 * Design integration between Digital Euro solutions, Core Banking Systems, payment platforms, settlement systems, liquidity management, and customer channels.
 * Develop scalable API-based integration concepts and multi-country deployment approaches.
 * Assess impacts on existing banking infrastructure and payment processes.
 * Evaluate Digital Euro vendors, platforms, and implementation partners.
 * Support build-vs-buy decisions and review technical architectures and proposals.
 * Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and implementation gaps.
 * Facilitate architecture workshops and support executive decision-making.
 * Prepare architecture recommendations, roadmaps, and governance documentation.
